Manufacturing Engineer Role
We are seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support advanced CNC machining operations. This role is highly hands-on and shop-floor focused, supporting CNC programming, tooling, fixturing, and first-run setups. Compared to a Process Engineer role, this position spends significantly more time on the production floor driving real-time improvements.
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in cycle time reduction, cost savings, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC programming using Mastercam and manual programming methods
- Design and support tooling and fixturing solutions
- Set up CNC machines for first-run production
- Drive cost reduction and cycle time improvement initiatives
- Provide hands-on engineering support directly on the shop floor
- Collaborate with machinists, engineering, and quality teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across machining operations
- Troubleshoot machining challenges and optimize cutting strategies
Qualifications
- Advanced milling experience required (4-axis or 5-axis)
- 5-axis milling experience is a strong plus (“home run”)
- Strong CNC machining and programming background
- Hands-on experience in a precision machining environment
- 4-year engineering degree preferred
- 2-year degree with strong experience and technical skill set will be considered
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
