Current State
- Implementation partner is migrating configurations from the commercial org to GovCloud
- Currently in UAT; go-live scheduled next week through July
- Future roadmap includes Sales Cloud onboarding in November
- GovCloud operates on a different release cycle than commercial Salesforce
- Not all features are equivalent between environments, creating support gaps with the existing team
Key Challenge
- Existing commercial Salesforce team cannot fully support both environments
- Need dedicated developers focused on GovCloud, with alignment to the commercial org where possible
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Salesforce Government Cloud environment under technical manager oversight
- Follow established enhancement and release management processes
- Partner with the internal team responsible for administration and release scheduling
- Ensure alignment/sync between GovCloud and commercial Salesforce where feasible
- Deliver ad hoc development for aerospace-specific requirements
Role Breakdown
- Senior Developer:
- Initial: ~70% hands-on development / 30% architecture
- Long-term: shifts to ~70% architecture / 30% development
- Mid-Level Developer:
- Primarily hands-on development
- Both roles:
- Work primarily within GovCloud (isolated environment)
- Occasional access to the commercial Salesforce org
Must-Have Requirements
- Senior Developer:
- 7 10 years Salesforce development experience
- Strong Government Cloud experience required
- Background in Sales, Service, and/or Manufacturing Cloud
- Ability to grow into an Architect role
- Mid-Level Developer:
- 5 years Salesforce development experience
- Government Cloud experience preferred
- Commercial Salesforce experience (Sales, Service, or Manufacturing Cloud) acceptable
- For both roles:
- Must be hands-on developers (not admins or pure architects)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Salesforce RCA (new capability being introduced internally)
