Agentic AI Consultant (Agentic Process / Controls Designer)

Role: Agentic AI Consultant (Agentic Process / Controls Designer)
Duration: Chicago preferred Open to remote for the right person. Occasional Travel on-site as needed
Location: 1 year extensions

Process engineer is most important role as this person will be engaging our leaders directly, and will be tasked with presenting the agentic flows they are going to design to our leaders in-person periodically and really lead the process change aspects

We ve also done extensive work over the last several months on use case identification, pod structure/roles, and governance. Our aim is to augment the existing team with outside consultants specifically FDE and agentic process resources with a player/coach mindset so our engineers build these skills over the next 6 12 months.

Areas we are investing in

1. A) Fuel Back Office automation (primary focus)
   Automation of back office work currently handled by the BPO team leveraging agentic capabilities and lightweight automation where appropriate. The intent is to redesign workflows to be agentic-ready (not simply automate the as-is process), without overengineering.
2. B) UDH.ai Conversational AI on Fuel data (secondary / expansion)
   Over the last 8 months we ve made strong progress enabling conversational AI on Fuel data (data ingestion, context setting, and model enablement). We want to augment this team to help deploy agents that can interact with additional sources and UDH.ai (data lake).

• Defines human-in-the-loop steps, exception paths, approvals, and audit evidence
• Partners with business stakeholders/controls to ensure solutions are finance-safe

This is the architect for AI-driven workflows, focused on how the work should happen, not just automating what exists today.

Core responsibilities

• Designs future-state ( to-be ) processes rather than replicating current manual workflows
• Defines:
• Human-in-the-loop decision points
• Exception handling paths
• Approval chains
• Audit trails and evidence capture
• Ensures workflows are compliant and finance-safe (critical in regulated environments)
• Works directly with:
• Finance / Accounting / Risk / Controls teams
• Business stakeholders
• Translates business compliance requirements into structured, AI-orchestrated workflows
