Tooling Manager
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Tooling Manager to lead a high-performing tooling team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of tooling fabrication, maintenance, and optimization to support production readiness and ensure exceptional product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the tool room team across tooling fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and tuning.
Manage new tool builds from concept through production readiness.
Oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tooling.
Maintain accurate tool inventory, schedules, and performance documentation.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve tooling issues efficiently.
Manage relationships with outside vendors and negotiate tooling-related contracts.
Drive ongoing improvements in tooling processes, quality, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
5 years of supervisory experience in a tool room environment as a Tool and Die Maker.
Proven leadership skills in a high-paced manufacturing setting.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of injection molding tooling (preferred).
Work Environment & Expectations
Manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, and dust.
Hands-on role requiring standing for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
Authority to prioritize workflow and ensure tooling meets customer quality standards.
