- Electrical Designer – Aerospace Systems Integration
Contract Length: 18-month contract
Overview:
A well-established aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to support aircraft system integration and modernization efforts. This hands-on, long-term contract role will focus on wire harness design, schematic development, and electrical documentation using Capital Logic.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and document aircraft wire harnesses, electrical schematics, and system layouts
Develop and maintain connector tables, wiring diagrams, and cable assemblies
Integrate electrical systems into airframes, ensuring routing, fit, and functionality
Generate FAA-compliant documentation for certification packages
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in avionics, mechanical, and manufacturing
Troubleshoot and resolve design issues during assembly and test phases
Ensure version control and compliance with industry and internal documentation standards
Required Qualifications:
3 years of electrical design experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or heavy machinery
Capital Logic proficiency required – schematic capture, harness routing, and system layouts
Skilled in reading/interpreting technical schematics and creating interconnect documentation
Familiarity with FAA, MIL-STD, or DO-160 regulatory frameworks
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or Zuken
Background in aircraft retrofits or modernization projects
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or related field
