Cardiac Sonographer (Part-Time)
Schedule: Part-Time | Day Shift
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our patient-focused care team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of cardiac ultrasound procedures and support physicians during advanced echocardiography exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac ultrasound exams as ordered by physicians
- Identify presence/absence of disease using strong anatomy/physiology knowledge
- Assist with advanced/invasive echocardiography procedures (e.g., TEE, stress echo, contrast exams, echo-guided procedures)
- Adapt imaging techniques to special circumstances for accurate, cost-effective results
- Follow standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Oregon Sonographer license (upon hire)
- National certification:
o Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI), or
o Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (CCI), or
o Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)
- BLS certification (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- 1 year of cardiovascular ultrasound experience (or 800 exams completed)
- Pediatric echo experience a plus
- Familiarity with advanced heart failure imaging and echo-guided catheter procedures
