Water / Wastewater Engineer

About the Role
Build systems that sustain communities. We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to help design and deliver reliable, resilient, and sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure. In this role, you’ll support municipal clients, lead technical design efforts, and contribute to projects that protect public health and enable community growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, lead, and manage water and wastewater projects, including treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection systems
- Collaborate with engineers, operators, and municipal clients to develop practical, cost-effective solutions
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets while mentoring junior engineers
- Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, and construction documents
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients, stakeholders, and community members
- Support business development and proposal efforts as you grow into a trusted technical advisor
- Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and industry standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
- (Master’s degree a plus)
- 5 years of experience in water/wastewater system design and project delivery
- PE license or EIT actively pursuing licensure
- Experience with AutoDesk tools (AutoCAD) and hydraulic/process modeling software
- Strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BIM software (Revit)
- Municipal or public-sector project experience
- Familiarity with tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, EPANET, or similar
- Interest in long-term career growth and leadership development

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
