Overview:
Our client, a global leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to support the design, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications and low‑voltage systems for a large‑scale OSAT facility.
What you will be doing:
- Designing telecommunications infrastructure including structured cabling, fiber optics, and wireless systems.
- Coordinating installation and integration of voice and data systems.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting telecom systems.
- Monitoring performance and conducting preventive maintenance.
- Collaborating with IT, construction, and vendor teams.
- Reviewing telecom drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Maintaining accurate telecom documentation.
- Supporting audits and inspections.
- Designing and overseeing installation of CCTV, access control, and intercom systems.
- Integrating security systems with network infrastructure.
- Evaluating emerging technologies for upgrades.
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 3 years in telecom system design and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, VoIP, and wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with network protocols.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in design, construction, commissioning preferred.
- PE license is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in varied weather and tight spaces.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Exposure to hot/cold/sharp equipment.
- Medically qualified to wear a respirator.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Other Information:
- Role begins in Tempe and transitions to Peoria during operations.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
