The Production Scheduler manages production timelines and ensures capital fabrication is completed on time, according to specification and quality standards, and aligns both external and internal teams on production needs. They will utilize & improve an MRP system to manage capital inventory, and track order status in the system. They balance production capacity, forecast future needs, and proactively apply improvements to the capital production process.
Location: Onsite only; Lisle, IL.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating and managing a production schedule of fabricated builds and components.
- Processing customer orders into detailed production orders using the Acumatica ERP/MRP system.
- Allocating resources to maximize production schedules and ensure production timelines are met.
- Monitoring production schedules and proactively addressing issues which would delay production; you’re implementing improvements and efficiencies in the production process.
- Maintaining and refining bill of materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate material planning.
- Using the MRP to manage materials requirements and planning.
- Communicating order tracking, status updates and inventory requirements throughout the production process.
- Analyzing production capacity, and optimizing outputs and efficiencies.
- Forecasting future production needs and identifying potential bottlenecks.
- Acting as the central point of contact for warehouse & production teams, fabricators, and operations on production schedule status.
Skills & Requirements
- Must have experience working in an ERP and/or MRP system
- Has 3-5 years’ experience in production planning, scheduling, or capital project management
- Ability to analyze workflows, identify and implement improvements, and manage multiple projects at once.· Comfortable using advanced reporting, dashboards, and analyzing data to drive decisions.
- Clear communicator both with technical and non-technical teams.
- Precise and incredibly detail-oriented.
