Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee all of our manufacturing operations which include Plastics thermoforming, CNC finishing and part trimming. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, ensuring sufficient and accurate inventory as well as managing shipping and receiving. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Duties:
- Manage, supervise and train the production team to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee operation of 4 thermoforming machines and solving challenges to achieve perfect plastic parts
- Manage downtime and ensure machine repairs are achieved quickly and production resumed
- Oversee operation of 2 CNC routers used to finish parts
- Constantly improve safety and quality processes and documentation
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency
- Ensure trucks are received and goods are shipped correctly
- Ensure maintenance and repairs are performed effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities
- Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and performance
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
Experience required:
- Previous experience in a production management role
-Plastic Thermoforming experience minimum 5 years
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and manufacturing processes
- Experience with CNC Router operations - 5 years
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for fabrication and assembly
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Familiarity with operating forklifts safely and efficiently
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Process improvement knowledge in a manufacturing environment such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc., to drive operational excellence system is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Education:
-Bachelor or associates degree preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
