Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Lead Software Asset Manager.

What You Will Be Doing:
You will serve as a key member of the IT team responsible for overseeing software and hardware asset management across the enterprise. You will partner with various departments to develop, implement, and refine processes that track and report on assets and licensing. You will lead initiatives to optimize license usage, ensure compliance, and mitigate legal and financial risks. As a lead role, you will communicate progress and impact to digital leadership, while supporting integration of SAM processes within existing IT service management frameworks. This is a 3-month Contract-to-Hire position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the enterprise-wide SAM strategy.
- Construct and improve business processes and policies for asset recording and reporting.
- Lead the deployment of asset tracking solutions across the organization.
- Monitor software license usage and proactively remediate anomalies or non-compliance issues.
- Maintain knowledge of core business processes to recommend practical SAM solutions.
- Lead the integration of SAM procedures within the ITSM framework and leverage ServiceNow.
- Establish performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure process efficiency.
- Report progress and measurable impact of asset management efforts to digital leadership.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent application of asset management best practices.
- Support audits and compliance activities related to software licensing.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in software or IT asset management.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing SAM strategies and policies.
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models and compliance standards.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to develop performance metrics.
- Effective communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver's License.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Industry certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or ITIL.
- Experience managing hardware assets alongside software assets.
- Familiarity with enterprise licensing negotiations and audits.
- Leadership exposure in large-scale IT initiatives or process improvements.
Pay: $56.00 – $80.00 /hr.
