Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of general home repairs and maintenance tasks at customer locations.
- Complete minor carpentry, drywall patching, painting, and basic fixtures adjustments.
- Address basic home troubleshooting issues (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, replacing light switches, hanging doors/blinds).
- Use power tools and hand tools efficiently and safely to complete repair tasks.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area at each job site.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding the scope of the repair and confirm satisfaction before leaving.
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance tasks and jobs.
- Operate company or personal vehicles safely to commute between various local job sites.
Skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel across the Birmingham area.
- Ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and perform physical labor comfortably.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with a wide range of power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Solid baseline knowledge of basic residential maintenance (carpentry, drywall, basic plumbing/electrical fixes).
- Strong time-management skills to efficiently move from one repair task to the next.
- Prior experience as a handyman, property maintenance tech, or general contractor assistant is preferred.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
