L1 Technical Support Engineer
We are seeking an L1 Technical Support Engineer to join our team. You will troubleshoot technical issues, document cases, and work directly with customers to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Respond to technical issues via phone, email, and web.
- Understand customer issues and replicate configurations/environments when needed.
- Document cases thoroughly and escalate when appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through research, log analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with senior support engineers, QA, and product development teams to resolve complex issues.
- Manage your own case load, set priorities, and meet SLAs.
- Assist with testing upcoming releases and hotfixes.
- Contribute to the company knowledge base with new solutions and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in customer service or technical help desk
- 1 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues (research, log analysis, or advanced troubleshooting)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or equivalent experience
- Certifications such as A , Net , MSSQL, MCP, MCSE, MCDBA
- Knowledge of SQL database engines
- Experience with Access Control, Video, or Intrusion technologies
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and virtualization technologies (VirtualBox)
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL)
- Basic understanding of AC/DC circuitry and electronics
- Knowledge of Access Control hardware (electrified locks, door contacts, card readers)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience with Salesforce
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $26.99 - $32.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
