This is a full-time on-site role for a Counsel and Director, Federal Policy located in Washington, DC. The Counsel and Director, Federal Policy will be responsible for developing and advocating for TechNet's federal policy priorities. Daily tasks include researching, analyzing, and drafting legislative and regulatory proposals, engaging with government officials and industry stakeholders, and representing TechNet in various forums. The role involves coordinating with other departments to ensure cohesive policy strategies and responses.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analysis skills
- Experience in federal policy development and advocacy
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with government officials, industry stakeholders, and internal teams
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Bar membership in good standing
- Understanding of technology and innovation-related policies is a plus
