Customer Service II – Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Location: Abbott Park, IL (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract
Contract Duration: Through February 16, 2027 (subject to extension or perm conversion)
Work Schedule: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Overtime: Mandatory seasonal overtime may be required. (paid)

Job Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Bilingual Customer Service II Representative to support HR service center operations. This role handles employee inquiries, resolves HR-related issues, and delivers accurate, timely, and compassionate customer service across multiple communication channels.

The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, has strong communication and organizational skills, and can manage a high volume of requests while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail. Experience in HR, Workday, Zendesk, Salesforce, or other customer relationship management and HR systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to employee inquiries through inbound and outbound calls, emails, chats, and case management systems.
• Provide timely, accurate, and professional responses to HR-related questions and requests in English and Spanish.
• Manage multiple requests and communication channels while prioritizing workload and meeting service expectations.
• Handle HR transactions, including cost center changes, reporting relationship changes, job changes, and employee data updates.
• Support mass transaction intake, organizational chart updates, and supervisory organization restructuring.
• Collaborate with HR service center colleagues and global HR teams to resolve inquiries and complex issues.
• Escalate sensitive or urgent concerns appropriately while maintaining professionalism, patience, and empathy.
• Document customer inquiries, track case progress, and follow through to resolution.
• Identify recurring service issues and recommend process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
• Meet established standards for schedule adherence, reliability, service quality, and response times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in Business, Human Resources, or a related field. Candidates with a degree may be considered without prior experience.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Fluency in Spanish, including strong verbal and written communication skills, is required for this bilingual position.
• HR experience is preferred.
• Experience with Workday, Zendesk, Salesforce, or similar HR information systems, case management platforms, or CRM systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is an advantage.
• Strong telephone, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different communication channels.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different teams and locations.
• Willingness to work the specified schedule and accommodate mandatory seasonal overtime.
