Job Title: Professional - Seamstress Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Neenah, WI (onsite) Contract Duration: 51 weeks Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress. The ideal candidate will have experience in garment construction, alterations, and sewing techniques. This role involves working closely with designers and production staff to create, modify, and repair garments with precision and care. This seamstress will support design and research of underwear type garments. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret patterns, sketches, and technical drawings. Perform fittings and make adjustments to ensure proper garment fit for both child and adult apparel. Provide actionable feedback to improve product design. Collaborate with designers and production team to meet quality and timeline standards. Inspect finished garments for accuracy, quality, and consistency. Maintain a professional report with research participants during fitting sessions and follow safety protocols. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in sewing or fashion is a plus. Proven experience as a seamstress or in garment construction. Proficiency in hand sewing and operating industrial sewing machines. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and time management skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with specialty fabrics (e.g., silk, leather, stretch materials). Knowledge of pattern making and garment design.
