Corporate Controller

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

· Oversee timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP

· Develop and maintain accounting policies for complex transactions (fixed assets, CIP, debt, equity, derivatives)

· Monitor and implement new accounting standards

Accounting Operations & Project Support

· Lead core accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, payroll) and monthly close

· Support accounting for large-scale capital projects, including CIP and transition to operations

· Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Controls, Audit & Compliance

· Establish and maintain internal controls for a large-scale project environment

· Manage external audits and serve as primary auditor liaison

· Support lender and regulatory reporting requirements

Systems & Process Improvement

· Lead ERP implementation and optimization (e.g., NetSuite)

· Drive automation and scalable processes

Leadership

· Build and develop a high-performing accounting team

· Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and project teams

· Act as a strategic advisor across the organization

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required

· 12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles

· Experience with large capital projects (energy, infrastructure, or similar)

· Strong US GAAP and technical accounting expertise

· Background in project finance and capital-intensive environments

· Proven ability to build and scale accounting functions

· Experience managing audits (Big 4 preferred)
