📢 Hiring: General Services / Facilities Support Specialist (Central Florida)

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable General Services / Facilities Support Specialist to join our team in the Central Florida region. This is a highly visible, hands-on role supporting facilities, logistics, and emergency operations.

✅ Basic Requirements

• Ability to speak and understand English
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with reliable transportation
• Ability to pass Level 2 background screening and MVR check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow directives
• Professional, courteous, and respectful attitude

🛠️ Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year in supply/warehouse management
• 6 months experience in:
• Fleet/vehicle maintenance
• OSHA and safety regulations
• Facility/site inspections
• IT equipment handling
• Moving heavy furniture using handcarts/dollies
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Familiarity with Central Florida region and GPS navigation
• Experience supporting disaster management activities

🚗 Driving & Travel Requirements

• May drive state vehicles during emergencies across Central Region (Polk, Highlands, Hardee)
• Occasional overnight travel in Suncoast Region (rare; typically during emergency situations)
• Primary reporting location: Lakeland, FL (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM)

🏢 Key Responsibilities

• Manage PPE and inventory distribution systems
• Maintain Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) and trailers
• Perform warehouse organization and inventory control
• Conduct facility inspections and ensure safety compliance
• Support internal/external office moves and furniture setup
• Manage key systems and keycard access across multiple sites
• Assist IT team with equipment relocation and large-scale moves
• Install office equipment (whiteboards, boards, fixtures)
• Monitor facility conditions (lighting, AC, etc.)
• Maintain vehicle logs and ensure compliance with policies
• Handle surplus equipment disposal per guidelines
• Support disaster preparedness and recovery operations

🌪️ Additional Responsibilities

• Assist during hurricanes and emergency situations
• Ensure all facilities meet safety standards before leaving sites
• Handle on-site incidents professionally (including escalation when needed)
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across locations
