What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soldering Technician position at TECHEAD?
This is a 4 month contract. This is a 9/80 schedule.
Compensation: $26 - 30/hr
You will play a key role in the assembly, fabrication, repair, and testing of electromechanical assemblies used in prototype systems and test support equipment. This hands-on position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, fabricate, solder, and repair electrical and electromechanical assemblies for prototype systems and test support equipment.
- Build, route, terminate, and inspect custom cable and wire harnesses in accordance with engineering drawings and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform rework on cable harnesses and electrical assemblies to ensure quality and functionality.
- Review vendor-supplied cable and harness drawings to verify manufacturability, proper design, and tooling requirements.
- Support testing and integration activities by assembling and maintaining prototype hardware and support equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to quality and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification, associate degree, or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of experience assembling cable harnesses, electrical assemblies, or electromechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, work instructions, and bills of materials.
- Proficiency using hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, soldering equipment, and other assembly tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform rework on electrical assemblies and cable harnesses.
