Seeking a Quality Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for in-process production audits, inspecting incoming materials, reviewing engineering blueprints drawings and managing the calibration of gauges.
What You'll Do:
- Inspect and approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform daily product inspections utilizing precision measurement tools, including height gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- Document inspection results accurately through reports, logs, and database entries, including tracking rework and scrap.
- Communicate non-conformances promptly to affected departments and follow up to ensure required adjustments are made.
- Issue Corrective Actions as appropriate, strictly following internal quality guidelines.
- Maintain and manage all production gauges; perform in-house calibration where possible and coordinate third-party calibration when necessary.
- Verify the proper operation of gauges, managing necessary inspections and repairs.
- Ensure strict compliance with company quality standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Quality department, executing revisions and updates as needed.
- Assist in auditing internal work procedures and provide actionable recommendations to address non-conformances.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality systems and reducing rework.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in STEM or related coursework preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a quality, inspection, engineering, or manufacturing role preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and utilize standard measurement tools.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges).
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, blueprints, and industry specifications (e.g., ANSI, ASTM, API, and 3A).
- Familiarity with quality documentation, reporting, and accurate data entry.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
