About the Role
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for Navy and Marine Corps personnel, resolving technical issues related to the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) environment.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 remote technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and account issues via phone, email, and chat.
- NMCI Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues specific to NMCI workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals (printers, scanners).
- Identity & Access Management: Resolve Common Access Card (CAC) configuration, PKI certificates, and Outlook encryption/digital signature errors.
- Account Administration: Perform basic Active Directory tasks, including password resets, account unlocks, and security group modifications.
- Ticket Management: Document, track, and monitor IT issues using enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy, BMC Helix, or HP Service Manager) to ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met.
- Escalation: Accurately document troubleshooting steps and escalate complex issues to Tier 3 or local touch-labor support teams when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on IT technical support or help desk experience supporting NMCI users.
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance. (Inquiries will be made to verify clearance status).
- DoD 8570 Compliance: Must hold an active CompTIA Security CE certification (or an equivalent IAT Level II certification like CCNA Security, CySA , or GSEC).
