We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quality Technician to join our growing Quality team. In this role, you’ll support daily manufacturing operations through hands‑on inspection work, process improvement, and leadership within the Quality Lab. Quality & Inspection Responsibilities
- Release products for shipment by verifying all required documentation and certifications.
- Apply GD&T concepts and perform dimensional verification for PPAP and First Article parts.
- Conduct technical inspections on raw materials and manufactured components.
- Program and operate FARO and Micro‑Vu measurement equipment.
- Collect, evaluate, and present quality data and metrics.
- Develop calibration procedures and perform equipment calibrations per ISO standards.
- Audit internal processes for documentation accuracy and dimensional workmanship.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer issues and internal nonconformances.
Production & Team Support
- Assist production teams by interpreting engineering documents and demonstrating proper measuring techniques.
- Prioritize and organize work tasks for the Quality Lab.
- Provide on‑the‑job training to new inspectors and support their day‑to‑day development.
- Communicate updates, ideas, project outcomes, and best practices to the Quality team and leadership.
- Lead or participate in Quality Walk Audits within production areas.
- Suggest, support, and complete Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Develop training materials and assist with employee development within the QA department.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years hands‑on inspection experience, ideally in metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a continuous improvement / QMS environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with measurement tools; experience programming or operating FARO and Micro‑Vu equipment is desired.
- Ability to present information clearly in one‑on‑one or small group settings.
- Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and basic graph interpretation.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, word processing software, email, and basic reporting tools.
- Quality Technician certification preferred.
- Associate degree in a related field preferred.
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
