We’re hiring an experienced Quality Inspector to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring products consistently meet (and exceed) customer quality expectations. What You’ll Do
As a Quality Inspector III, you’ll be a trusted quality resource for the manufacturing team, responsible for inspection, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Inspection & Measurement
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on in-process and finished products
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, surface plates, and steel rulers
- Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
- Operate advanced measurement equipment including FARO and Micro‑Vu systems
Quality Documentation & Compliance
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify, segregate, and report non‑conforming material
- Generate and summarize Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Inspect and approve incoming materials to ensure they meet specifications
- Inspect and release products for shipment, ensuring proper certifications and documentation are complete
- Participate in internal audits (dimensional, workmanship, and documentation)
Advanced Quality Support
- Complete and support PPAP and First Article Inspection documentation
- Assist with dimensional verification for PPAP and first‑article parts
- Create and maintain internal Control Plans aligned with customer and quality system requirements
- Assist with calibration and verification of measurement equipment in accordance with ISO standards
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with production teams to interpret manufacturing documentation and apply proper measuring techniques
- Support corrective action efforts related to customer complaints, supplier issues, and internal process failures
- Participate in department meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Train and mentor Level I and II Quality Inspectors
- Identify and implement lean initiatives and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
Preferred Experience & Skills
- 5 years of quality inspection experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience working within a continuous improvement Quality Management System (QMS)
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Proficiency with inspection tools and CMM/FARO/Micro‑Vu systems
- Working knowledge of industry safety and quality standards
Technical & Professional Skills
- Comfortable with basic math, measurements, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to clearly communicate in one-on-one and small-group settings
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Proficiency with common computer tools (Word, Excel, email, internet)
Education
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree in a related technical field preferred
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
