Position – Ultrasound Technologist

Location – Brooklyn, NY 11201

Contract – 3 Months with a possibility of extension

Required experience - 8:00A - 5:00P **MUST HAVE 2 YRS MIN EXP AS A SONO TECH*

Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations, provides technical assistance to the Radiologist, and maintains and cares for all ultrasound equipment

.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques.

• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient and staff safety.
• Set up, clean, operate, and perform minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
• Maintain adequate supplies required for daily operations.
• Assist with the orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
• Capture images to PACS and transfer them to physicians' workstations.
• Answer telephone inquiries, schedule examinations, and coordinate patient transportation as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
• Strong computer and software skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.

Education:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
