The Austin Office Services Manager will play a key leadership role in the seamless operation and culture of Bain & Company’s Austin office. This position will manage the delivery of essential office services, events, and facilities logistics supporting Bain’s Austin team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, people-oriented manager with strong operational, organizational, and event planning skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily operations of Bain’s Austin office, ensuring all office services and facilities run smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage vendor relationships for the Austin office, including food and beverage, printing, shipping, first-aid, janitorial, plant maintenance, building engineering, and shredding services.
- Supervise supply management and procurement for office, kitchen, and meeting spaces.
- Coordinate workstation assignments, onboarding logistics, and offboarding support in partnership with IT department and HR.
- Maintain and update floor plans, access control, and ensure readiness of workstations and conference rooms.
- Oversee reception coverage and uphold Bain’s standards for professionalism and hospitality.
- Serve as a key member of the Austin Office Situation Response Team (OSRT) and Life Safety Team, maintaining CPR certification and fire warden readiness.
- Coordinate and fulfill incoming print requests such as client decks and nametags.
- Troubleshoot office beverage and copy machines.
- Lead planning and execution of Austin-based events, meetings, and training programs, such as cultural celebrations, all-staff meetings, and social gatherings.
- Collaborate with the Texas Director of Office Services, Chief of Staff, and Executive Assistant/Manager Assistant teams to deliver high-quality internal events that enhance Bain’s culture.
- Manage site selection, contract negotiation, and vendor coordination for local events and meetings.
- Coordinate event communications, invitations, reminders, logistics, and post-event feedback.
- Build and maintain a local vendor network for catering, venues, and event-related services.
- Provide on-site event management and ensure smooth execution of logistics, catering, and A/V support.
- Supervise and support the Austin Office Services team, fostering professional growth, accountability, and collaboration.
- Encourage cross-office alignment by sharing best practices and collaborating with Dallas and Houston OS teams.
- Provide regular feedback, performance reviews, and development coaching.
- Build strong relationships with office leadership, consultants, and support teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Promote Bain’s culture of inclusivity, teamwork, and exceptional service delivery.
- Manage the Austin Office Services budget and code invoices using Bain’s SAP workflow system.
- Approve vendor invoices, track office expenses, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational process enhancements across the Texas offices.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in office services, facilities management, or event operations in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Proven experience leading office operations with a focus on service excellence and people leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with office or event setups when required.
- A calm, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

- In Austin, Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $88,000-$106,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
