Enterprise Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the Agency in overseeing the design, delivery, and technical compliance of vendor solutions.
• Lead and facilitate legacy system transition and cutover activities to FX solutions.
• Conduct technology assessments, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with service providers to align solutions with enterprise business strategy and technical architecture.
• Review vendor deliverables to ensure adherence to Agency standards, contracts, and best practices.
• Facilitate technical review meetings and architecture governance boards.
• Support release and deployment activities with vendors and release managers.
• Analyze market and industry trends to evaluate impacts on Agency technology solutions.
• Promote innovation, cost reduction, and efficiency through vendor partnerships.
• Advise and consult on:
• Business and technical architecture alignment
• Legacy system sunset planning
• Integration and interoperability across solutions
• Vendor contract estimates, designs, and documentation maintenance

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience: 5 years in business and technical architecture design, implementation, and lifecycle management; 5 years in leadership roles managing cross-functional teams.
• Domain Expertise: 5 years in Health & Human Services (HHS) at a senior architect level; strong preference for Medicaid/MMIS experience.
• Leadership: Proven ability to earn stakeholder trust, influence decision-making, and navigate matrixed organizations.
• Delivery: Results-oriented, self-directed, able to manage ambiguity and deliver on deadlines.
• Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder-facing communication skills; able to convey complex topics with clarity.
• Collaboration: Effective in remote/telecommuting environments using collaboration tools; skilled at building consensus across diverse teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking skills, balancing strategic alignment with practical delivery.
