Job Title: Site Survey Reviewer – Neurosurgeon
Location: Travel to designated Florida trauma center sites as scheduled
Duration: 12 months potential ext
We are seeking a highly qualified Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to serve as a Site Survey Reviewer / Subject Matter Expert supporting our customer's trauma center verification program.
This is a specialized consulting opportunity for an experienced physician with strong knowledge of trauma center standards, site surveys, medical record review, and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the Neurosurgeon Subject Matter Expert during trauma center site surveys.
- Conduct pre-survey medical record reviews.
- Participate in initial and focused trauma center site surveys.
- Attend post-survey exit conferences.
- Evaluate hospital deficiency response reports.
- Document findings and prepare formal Site Survey Reports.
- Conduct initial and focused deficiency reviews as requested.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance.
- Coordinate availability and meet established reporting and review deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a physician in the United States
- Board Certified in Neurosurgery
- Experience with trauma centers, trauma systems, or neurotrauma
- Knowledge of trauma center verification, designation, accreditation, or site-survey processes
- Experience conducting medical record, clinical quality, compliance, or deficiency reviews
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills
- Ability to travel for scheduled on-site trauma center reviews
Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience involving:
- Trauma center application reviews
- Trauma center site surveys
- Trauma center verification or accreditation
- Level I or Level II Trauma Centers
- Neurotrauma / traumatic brain injury programs
- Physician peer review or trauma quality programs
Additional Information
- Travel will be required for scheduled site surveys.
- Travel expenses are not reimbursed under this contract.
- The consultant must be able to meet established timelines for survey reports, deficiency reviews, and related deliverables.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal consultant is an experienced board-certified neurosurgeon with hands-on trauma center survey, verification, accreditation, or regulatory review experience who can objectively evaluate trauma programs and provide expert clinical guidance.
