About the role:
We're seeking a hands-on Network Architect to design, implement, secure, and support its enterprise network infrastructure. This role combines network architecture and engineering with network security, Cisco Unified Communications, and cloud/hybrid connectivity.
Strong candidates will bring both architectural experience and recent hands-on implementation and troubleshooting skills. Experience implementing and supporting Cisco UCM, UCCX, and Unity Connection is required.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including Cisco and Juniper switches.
- Support load balancers, Storage Area Networks (SANs), firewalls, proxy policies, and mail gateways.
- Implement and support Cisco Unified Communications and enterprise voice connectivity.
- Support cloud networking and hybrid connectivity.
- Design for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Monitor network performance, resolve incidents, and improve reliability and security.
- Evaluate technologies, recommend improvements, and support infrastructure projects.
- Maintain technical documentation, share knowledge, and provide weekly progress updates.
Required Experience:
- At least five years of enterprise IT support experience; the scope also specifies more than five years.
- More than five years of experience across the following disciplines:
- LAN/WLAN/WAN design, implementation, and support.
- Network switching; Cisco and Juniper are the named platforms.
- Load balancing; F5 and Kemp are the named platforms.
- SAN design and maintenance.
- Network security, including ACLs, firewall policies, proxy policies, and mail gateway management; Palo Alto NGFW and Cisco IronPort are named.
- PRI and SIP trunks.
- Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity.
- Hands-on implementation and support of Cisco UCM/CUCM, UCCX, and Unity Connection.
- Experience designing network resiliency, including disaster recovery and high availability.
- Enterprise network monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, performance optimization, and incident response.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams, leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders.
