What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Process Improvement Consultant position at Tech Army, LLC?
Business Process Support and Program Improvement:
• Analyze and document current business processes, workflows, and operational dependencies to ensure alignment with modernization goals and system capabilities;
• Assist in the development of "as-is” and "to-be” processes, identifying opportunities for streamlining, automation, and improved operational efficiency;
• Track key performance indicators and assist with reporting that highlights process improvements, risks, barriers, and progress toward program milestones; and
• Provide recommendations for incremental improvements in business operations, program
documentation, and governance practices.
Communication, Change Management, and Stakeholder Coordination:
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT communication strategies and plans that support stakeholder awareness and modernization readiness;
• Develop and distribute program updates, newsletters, briefings, and other communication products to keep stakeholders informed of project milestones, impacts, and decisions;
• Communicate change initiatives clearly and effectively to all stakeholders, ensuring consistent understanding of modernization impacts, timelines, and adoption requirements;
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among business, technical, and program teams to support alignment, resolve issues, and drive modernization objectives forward; and
• Assist in the creation, maintenance, and coordination of change management materials, training resources, and user-support documentation.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable.
The Department requires the following experience, skills, and knowledge for this position:
• A minimum of three (3) years or more years supporting successful, large-scale projects with multiple diverse teams;
• Experience managing communications during complex projects; and
• Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation Skills.
4.2. Preferred Qualifications
The Department prefers the Candidates to have the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:
• Familiarity with business process mapping and defining current state applications in requirements documentation;
• Experience facilitating sessions with business leadership, Subject Matter Expert (SMEs), and users within a business function; and
• Skilled in understanding web applications and common application approaches to support business capabilities.
