Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Shipping Duties
- Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment according to work instructions and customer requirements.
- Create packing lists and export documentation as needed.
- Verify shipment accuracy, including product, quantities, labeling, and documentation.
- Maintain organized shipping and staging areas.
- Assist with packaging and labeling operations in a production environment.
- Operate production equipment and machinery according to training and SOPs.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify products meet company specifications and standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures, quality guidelines, and workplace safety requirements.
- Cross-train and work in other departments as needed.
- Communicate production or shipping issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
- Work overtime as needed to meet customer delivery schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two to three years of experience in shipping, receiving, or manufacturing preferred.
- A high level of flexibility with job functions and ability to accept change.
- Ability to research, analyze and problem solve.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to read and understand documents and procedures.
- Ability to work independently using good judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use basic math skills.
- Must be conscientious and have a high level of attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Works with a sense of urgency
- Ability to learn new programs.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Able to work overtime as needed to ensure on time delivery.
