Project Scheduler

Job Summary: 

The Network Cabling P6 Project Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing project schedules using Primavera P6 software for large, mission-critical network cabling installation projects. This role involves building, tracking, and updating schedules, creating tasks and budgets, tracking hours worked, and assisting with manpower scheduling. The Project Scheduler will work closely with project teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion, specifically in the installation of fiber and copper network cabling infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
• Create and manage tasks, milestones, and budgets within the project schedule.
• Identify project predecessor and dependent activities within the schedule
• Identify and create critical paths within the project schedule
• Integrate the schedule with the General Contractor’s schedule and deconflict schedule conflicts
• Track and update project progress, including hours worked towards tasks.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure schedules are adhered to and milestones are met.
• Assisting the scheduling of manpower for network cabling installation projects.
• Monitor and report on project performance, identifying potential delays and recommending corrective actions.

• Provide training and supervision to team members on the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and schedule changes.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards for network cabling installations.

Minimum Requirements

• Certification in Primavera P6 scheduling software or demonstrable experience using Primavera P6.
• Proven experience in project scheduling, particularly in large, mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of network cabling infrastructure, including fiber and copper cabling.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to train and supervise other individuals in scheduling tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A degree in project management, engineering, ora related field is preferred.

Pay Rate:

$75,000 - $100,000/year
