What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Transportation Driver position at Team Wellness Center?
Team Wellness Center (TWC) is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and safety-minded Crisis Transportation Driver to join our Crisis Addiction Response Team (CART) program.
The CART program dispatches a mobile outreach team to local emergency departments to assist individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. When a patient is discharged and referred to TWC by the hospital, our team ensures they are safely transported to our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) — where they receive continued care, stabilization, and linkage to outpatient services.
As a Crisis Transportation Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring individuals receive compassionate, continuous care. You’ll primarily work with adults, transporting them safely within the community. When transportation services are not needed, you’ll assist in the CSU with tasks such as admissions, discharges, rounds, and general unit support.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport individuals referred from area hospitals to the Crisis Stabilization Unit or other designated locations.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion while assisting individuals in crisis.
- Coordinate with the CART team, hospital staff, and TWC clinicians to ensure seamless care transitions.

- Support the Crisis Stabilization Unit during downtime by assisting with admissions, discharges, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Valid chauffeur’s license or higher (required).
- Experience operating passenger vans or shuttle vehicles (16 passengers preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to supporting individuals in crisis.
