COMPANY: StoneHardscapes, LLC Address: 6500 NW 15th Way, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 REPORTS TO: Operations Assistant Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt Hours: Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary: The Shipping & Logistics Dispatcher executes outbound shipments beginning-to-end and is the primary point of contact between customers, sales, carriers, and the warehouse. The role requires fast response times, accurate freight quoting (math/weight/crate calculations), clean documentation, and proactive communication so shipments leave on time, profitably, and with no surprises. Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and execute outbound shipments from order release through final delivery
- Serve as the central communication link between customers, sales, carriers, and warehouse teams
- Prepare accurate freight quotes using weight, dimensions, crate specifications, and carrier rates
- Select appropriate carriers based on cost, service level, and delivery timelines
- Schedule pickups and ensure timely dispatch of all shipments
- Generate and review shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels, invoices) for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to stakeholders
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or delivery issues in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure all shipments meet company standards for profitability and efficiency
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipment records in internal systems
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to confirm readiness, packaging, and loading requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels
Qualifications- 2 years of experience in logistics/shipping/dispatch coordination
- Strong understanding of freight terminology, carrier selection, and rate structures
- Strong math skills (weights, dimensions, crate counts, truck fit)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and able to multitask and meet deadlines
- Flexible and able to easily adapt to a quickly changing environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 360 (a plus)
