Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Middleware Operations Engineer (L3) with deep expertise in IBM MQ, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE/IIB), and DataPower. The role involves managing middleware infrastructure, ensuring high availability, handling critical incidents, and driving automation, security, and performance optimization across environments.
Key Responsibilities:Middleware Operations & Support- Administer, monitor, and maintain IBM MQ and ACE/IIB environments across development, test, and production.
- Create and manage MQ objects such as Queues, Channels, Clustered Queues, and handle MQ clustering, PUB/SUB, and client architectures.
- Perform IIB/ACE configurations, deployments, and broker setup.
- Provide L3 production support, including 24x7 on-call support for critical incidents and outages.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with vendors for complex issue resolution.
- Implement and manage MQ/ACE security (SSL, channel security, authentication, authorization).
- Partner with security teams to enforce compliance with standards such as HIPAA, NIST, PCI, and CIS.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, patching, and remediation activities.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and perform tuning for optimal efficiency.
- Identify and implement improvements for scalability, reliability, and stability.
- Develop self-healing solutions to enhance system uptime.
- Manage infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs.
- Design and maintain backup and recovery strategies for middleware systems.
- Execute regular backups and validate recovery procedures.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills.
- Automate routine operational tasks using Ansible, Bash, or similar tools.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with internal teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Communicate effectively during critical incidents and outages.
