Job Description
TEAK Restaurant, one of Red Bank's premier dining and nightlife destinations, is seeking experienced, professional, and dependable Security and Door Staff to join our nightlife team.
We are looking for confident, personable individuals who understand the balance between maintaining a safe, controlled environment and providing an upscale guest experience.
Our ideal candidates have experience working in busy restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, or high-volume entertainment venues. We want individuals who can command respect, communicate effectively, and handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Manage guest entry and maintain an organized, professional entrance.
- Verify identification and enforce legal age requirements.
- Monitor guest behavior and maintain a safe environment throughout the venue.
- Enforce venue policies, dress code, and occupancy limits.
- Manage lines, guest flow, and crowd control.
- Identify potential conflicts and de-escalate situations before they become problems.
- Professionally handle intoxicated, disruptive, or uncooperative guests.
- Coordinate with management and fellow security staff throughout the evening.
- Assist with VIP entry, reservations, and special events.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and designated security areas.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude toward all guests.
Qualifications
- Previous nightclub, bar, lounge, or security experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Confident, professional demeanor with excellent judgment.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Comfortable working in crowded, high-energy nightlife environments.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Must be available Friday and Saturday nights, including late-night hours.
- Must meet all applicable legal requirements for assigned security duties.
