English Valleys CSD is look in for a Co-Prom Advisor for the 2027 Prom!

A Prom Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the junior/senior prom in collaboration with the Junior Class. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on creating a safe, memorable, and inclusive event while staying within budget and complying with school policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Coordination:

    • Work with students to select a prom theme, colors, and overall concept.

    • Coordinate with school administration, custodial staff, and vendors for venue, setup, and teardown.

    • Arrange and supervise setup, decoration, and clean-up; ensure adult supervision during all decorating activities.

  • Budget & Purchasing:

    • Prepare and maintain the prom budget; make purchases within approved limits.

    • Track all expenses and provide financial reports to administration.
  • Fundraising:

    • Organize and oversee fundraising efforts.

  • Logistics & Safety:

    • Secure event space and manage logistics for the prom and promenade.

    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and district policies.

  • Student Leadership:

    • Guide students in decision-making, time management, and teamwork.

    • Establish and lead student committees for specific areas (e.g., decor, music, refreshments, announcements).

  • Public Relations:

    • Coordinate advertising and guest permissions.

    • Arrange prom chaperones and manage program details.
