Job Summary:
Support the Head Football Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting a successful high school football program that promotes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and student-athlete growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in planning and running practices, drills, and game-day activities.
Teach players football fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and safety protocols.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, team travel, and related events.
Encourage and model sportsmanship, discipline, and positive behavior.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration.
Help maintain equipment, facilities, and inventory as assigned.
Attend games, meetings, and team events; participate in team-building and special events.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
Must have a valid Iowa Coaching Authorization, Madatory Reporters Child Abuse certification, Concussion Certificate and pass a Background check.
