Property Accounts Manager – NYC Multifamily Portfolio
Are you well-versed in NYC rent stabilization laws and experienced with landlord-tenant court proceedings? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy delivering outstanding service to residents? We’re looking for a Property Accounts Manager to join our team and take charge of the rent collection and tenant account management process across a large apartment community in New York City.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all resident receivable accounts and ensure timely rent collection
- Reduce delinquency by issuing late notices, initiating follow-ups, and managing payment plans
- Partner with in-house legal teams on housing court cases, including non-payment, HP, DHCR, and evictions
- Represent the property in legal settings including housing court, small claims, and mediation sessions
- Track monthly collections and manage parking lot rentals
- Perform tenant outreach for account resolution and compliance
- Conduct audits and reconcile discrepancies; write off bad debts when necessary
- Assist residents with accessing rental subsidy programs (SCRIE, DRIE, NYCHA, etc.)
- Oversee weekly move-outs and approve invoices for tenant-related vendors
- Supervise and mentor junior team members
What You Bring:
- Hands-on experience with NYC landlord/tenant procedures and housing court
- Familiarity with rent-stabilized housing and relevant city/state/federal regulations
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel a must)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while staying detail-oriented
- Experience working with legal and housing assistance programs (a plus)

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
