I am working with one of the first to market provider of high-leverage and digital currency ETFs at a rapidly growing crypto-asset manager based in Fairfield, CT. My client is looking to add a fund accountant to their team due to growth. This is a great opportunity for someone to build upon their current working knowledge of digital assets or allow someone to enter the space without any previous digital assets experience.
Description: This position provides great growth potential in an exciting and expanding industry.
Responsibilities:
Shadow the calculation of Daily NAVs and review the calculations performed by an outside administrator.
Assist the Fund Controller in reviewing quarterly and annual GAAP Financial Statements prepared by the fund administrator.
Work with external auditors to ensure audits and quarterly reviews are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist external auditors by providing supporting documentation for year-end audit requests.
Assist outside tax accountants in the preparation of tax schedules and providing supporting documentation for year-end tax work.
Assist the Fund Controller in preparing all SEC/OTC filings for the funds in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare various internal weekly and daily reports for the management of the company.
Assist in evaluating and documenting the company’s accounting policies.
Assist with special projects and other key deliverables as needed.
Assist with investor questions and ad hoc requests.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in the financial services sector (public accounting preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- SEC Financial Reporting is a plus
- Knowledge of Fund Accounting and NAV calculations
- Hand on knowledge of open-ended funds structures
- Hand on knowledge of ETFs is a plus
- Strong GAAP financials knowledge
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
*Digital Assets experience is preferred but not required*
Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
