We’re hiring a Production Control Team Leader – Shipping & Receiving for a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Athens, AL. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for keeping materials and finished goods moving safely, accurately, and on time.
You’ll help lead daily warehouse operations, support inventory accuracy, coach team members, and make sure shipping and receiving activities align with production and customer requirements.

What You’ll Do
- Lead daily shipping and receiving activities, including unloading, receiving, staging, picking, packing, and shipping
- Help ensure inbound and outbound materials are processed accurately and on schedule
- Verify bills of lading, packing slips, shipment records, and system transactions
- Support safe warehouse operations and proper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, scanners, and related equipment
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, storage, cycle counts, and audits
- Reinforce safety procedures, standardized work, and quality expectations
- Identify delays, inventory issues, or safety concerns and take corrective action
- Monitor performance metrics such as shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and productivity
- Support continuous improvement efforts including 5S, Kaizen, and Lean activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment

What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory verification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds with or without assistance
Preferred
- 1–3 years of warehouse, logistics, shipping, or receiving experience
- Previous team lead or leadership experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience with inventory systems, scanners, or warehouse documentation
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment
Schedule
- 2nd Shift Hours - 18:30 - 03:45
- $1.50 Shift Premium for hours worked on 2nd Shift
- Overtime, weekend work, or adjusted schedules may be required based on business needs
