We’re hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift to support equipment reliability and plant operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment in Athens, AL.
This role is responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and helping keep production running safely and efficiently. What You’ll Do
- Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and installation work on machines, tools, and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, robotic, and conveyor systems
- Help minimize downtime and support stable, efficient production operations
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
- Support 5S, housekeeping, safety audits, and accident investigation activities
- Maintain equipment records and communicate maintenance updates clearly across shifts
- Coordinate with production and other departments to support operational efficiency
- Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and support corrective actions
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and production-ready work environment

What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, robotics, and conveyor systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Preferred
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Associate degree in maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with Toyota Production System
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Oracle
Schedule
- This posting is for 3rd Shift only
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs
- Important schedule update: Effective June 1, 2026, 3rd Shift hours will change to 10:00 PM to 06:45 AM
- Shift Differential: $1.50/hour for hours worked on 2nd Shift
