Spa Concierge (PT)

Scope of Position

The Spa Concierge is responsible for the overall operation of the spa reception area and telephones. He/she will always provide efficient and courteous check in service to guests and members. The Concierge is responsible for guest relations, spa appointment bookings, handling payments and retail sales.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Spa industry or hospitality preferred.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
• Outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation, and sophisticated communication skills.
• Handle a multitude of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and members in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Schedule services for individuals and large groups, call guests back to confirm.
• Check in guests, members for appointments via Spa Soft; confirm first and last name and provide general spa orientation upon arrival.
• Answer questions about available services, retail sales, general property information, and amenities.
• Answer telephone inquiries promptly and professionally and channel them appropriately.
• Inform management of last-minute changes and resolve scheduling issues.
• Record guest preferences and needs by entering information into computer.
• Promote and sell spa and salon services.
• Collect payment for services from guests and members.
• Assisting associates in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the spa.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.

Education

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years’ experience in the spa or related professional area.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus. 
• Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks. 
• Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds.
• Requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
