Job Overview
Weekday afternoon/evening shift begins at 3:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Check in and wait on customers, answer phones, stock shelves, keep the clubhouse and areas immediately outside clubhouse clean and clear of debris. Check out and return club rentals, golf carts and push carts. Monitor play and keep the course running smoothly. Will be taught to use mowing equipment for the golf course areas. May include other outdoor duties as needed. May be needed to help cover other shifts from time to time. Limited food service duties.
Duties
- Greet customers upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage check-in processes efficiently.
- Handle inquiries and provide information about the course's amenities and services.
- Process payments of cash and credit card.
- Manage the cash register.
- Process rental clubs and restock items for sale.
- Monitor golf play and address any issues on the course, insuring that customers are respecting the course amenities.
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when handling incoming calls.
- Return electric carts to charging station at the end of the day.
- Keep clubhouse, public rest rooms, patio area and outside areas tidy.
- Empty trash cans on the course on each shift.
- Handle any disagreements or disputes as needed.
- Will be working independently and must have ability to address any potential conflicts with customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse situations professionally.
- Familiarity with the game of golf is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- A commitment to providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work outdoors from time to time doing minor maintenance tasks.
