Project Accountant
We're partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing commercial general contractor to find their next Project Accountant!
Your Day to Day
- Track and maintain accurate project financials including costs, budgets, and variances across multiple concurrent jobs
- Coordinate closely with field operations teams including superintendents, estimators, and project managers to ensure financial alignment on active projects
- Process and review vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring all documentation is complete and payments are issued accurately and on time
- Prepare and submit billing packages to ownership groups, including supporting schedules and required documentation
- Monitor and enforce compliance requirements for subcontractors and vendors, flagging any gaps in paperwork or insurance before they become a problem
- Assist with various accounting tasks and special projects as the business continues to grow and evolve
What You Bring to the Table
- 4 years in an accounting role, ideally with some exposure to the construction or real estate industry
- Comfortable working across AP, billing, and project cost functions simultaneously
- Experience with construction accounting platforms is a plus — comparable ERP or accounting software experience is welcome
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communicator who can hold their own when working with both office staff and field teams
