Job description:
Taylor Truck Line Inc. is based out of Northfield, MN and is looking for a team oriented Customer Service Representative. This position works directly with a set of Customers to maintain and increase business. and is vital to retaining our Customers and keeping the fleet moving. Starting pay is based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary communication for all shipments for assigned customers.
- Contact customers to solicit loads and ensure load coverage.
- Manage all aspects of assigned accounts by providing customers with superior communication and details with regards to the progress of their shipment, taking care to follow-up and maintain good customer relations throughout the move process.
- Respond to and promptly handle shipment issues, changes and customers concerns and complaints by obtaining and evaluating relevant information to facilitate optimal resolution.
- Ensure that the sales representative is included in all load issues to assist with the resolution and if necessary, request that the sales representative contact the customer to maintain good customer relations.
- Work with Planner to initiate shipments as needed to meet scheduled appointment times.
- Communicate with Planners to address capacity as well as sales volumes or customer orders.
- Assist in developing customer care initiatives and policies while aiding in training and implementing polices with Planners and Fleet Managers
- Bill all detention and other accessorial charges as they occur.
Skills
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- High school degree, Associates Degree and two years experience in a customer service role or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience within the ground transportation / logistics industry preferred.
- Strong team player with the ability to stay calm and function in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Ability to adapt to an evolving atmosphere and manage stress levels through following and improving processes.
- Computer literate in MS Outlook and Excel. Basic knowledge and understanding of WMS/TMS applications.
- Ability to accurately calculate load arrival times, taking in account the impact of all outside factors into account (weather, traffic).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Other Duties as Assigned
Preferred:
- Knowledge of FMCSA Rules and Regs pertaining to commercial drivers and contract truck load carriers including solid understanding of HOS rules.
- TMW Suite software and Samsara experience preferred/a Plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
