Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

Position Overview

The AR/AP Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions. This role plays a key part in vendor relations and customer account maintenance.

Key Responsibilitie

sAccounts Receivable (AR

• )Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on a timely basi
• sMonitor customer accounts and aging reports; follow up on outstanding balance
• sPost cash receipt
• sMaintain accurate records of customer transactions and communication

sAccounts Payable (AP

• )Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval
• sPrepare and execute payment
• sMaintain vendor records and ensure documentation compliance (W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, 1099 tracking
• )Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancie
• sMonitor AP aging and ensure timely payment of obligation
• sAssist with year-end 1099 preparation and reportin

gGeneral Accounting & Suppor

• tAssist with month-end and year-end close processe
• sPrepare account reconciliations for AR/AP-related account
• sSupport audits by providing requested documentatio
• nMaintain accurate and organized financial record

• ceAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferr
• ed2 years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting rol
