VP, Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst

About the Role

Lead Investment Bank is looking for a VP, Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst to drive the end to end implementation of AxiomSL for regulatory reports such as the FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 002, FFIEC 009 etc. This position will join a newly created team that is in the process of being built out.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Axiom implementation across the five risk reports, and manage user acceptance testing
• Establish target state reporting architecture, MDRM mapping, rule logic, validation frameworks, and exception management workflows
• Review and challenge data quality issues, variances, reconciliations, mapping logic, intercompany eliminations, and interpretive guidance
• Assist in creation of standard operating procedures, documentation standards
• Perform data analytics review and coordinate with data governance to measure data quality and data monitoring controls on a regular basis.
• Support preparation of Regulatory Reporting Working Group and Governance Committee meetings, Change Management and Issue Management Forums, and handling communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Science or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial products (e.g. loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, money market products, repos etc.). Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, FFIEC031, FFIEC002, FFIEC009 and etc.) is a must
• Proficiency with Power BI development, including data modeling, report creation, and data visualization is a plus
• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, risk management, or related field in banking industry. Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
