What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fund Accounting Manager position at Taurus Search?
Taurus is working with a fast paced start up in the fund administration space. Our client is looking to hire a strong accounting professional, ideally with leadership experience, to join a newly created role as they continue to bring on major clients heading into 2026 This is a chance to work in a flexible environment where you can get high levels of exposure to senior leadership, have opportunities for advancement, and work with some of the top private equity firms in the industry.
Responsibilities Include:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the assigned clients
- Work with the client's internal teams to manage fund operations, capital calls, distributions, valuations, cash monitoring, management fees and reporting functions
- Prepare and review quarterly financial statements, investor letters, and other required assignments
- Assist with managing investor inquiries, fielding reporting questions, and other ad hoc requests
- Escalate issues to the client managers as appropriate
- Work with the client managers for client calls and management of client relationships
Requirements:
- 6 years in fund accounting, public accounting, or fund administration
- Strong understanding of PE fund structures and operations
- Bachelors degree required
- CPA or MBA a plus
