Tatum Consulting has a 3 month project for a VP of FP&A to step in as a consultant with a large PE backed SaaS company with $300 million in revenue. The company is in transition after it's recent purchase by private equity. The consulting engagement is for an VP of FP&A to help with the workload and stabilize the team. Looking for talent local to Dallas, Texas.
- Executive presentation - interpretation of operational & financial data to translate complex into clear operational insights for the CEO and board.
- Strategic Business Partner - Act as an essential business partner to division General Managers to focus deeply on revenue dynamics and utilization-based revenue levers. Partner with the Director of Corporate Strategy to deliver high-volume contract and revenue analysis for board and M&A requirements.
- Team Stabilization: Provide immediate leadership to the team acting as a "player coach" and stepping up to take on the workload.
- Financial Forecasting Pivot: Drive the organizational pivot from a monthly forecasting rhythm to a quarterly forecasting cadence to satisfy new PE expectations.
- Forecast Execution & OPEX Modeling: Assist the team with planning a 6 6 forecast to evaluate trends without recasting the annual budget. Analyze run rates, cost leverage, and hiring analysis to build an optimized operational bridge into the 2027 OPEX budget.
- Cash, Revenue & PE Reporting: Own standard revenue and cash forecasting structures required for treasury functions, and iterate on/manage the infancy-stage financial reporting package established with the PE ownership group.
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience at the VP of FP&A level (or equivalent Executive/Management level) within a Private Equity-backed portfolio company is strictly required.
- Must be local to Dallas, Texas
- Must have: Private Equity Board Reporting Experience
- Must Have a strong background in operational data, forecasting, modeling and M&A rollup/divestiture support.
- Preferred Skills: Workday ERP, Workday Adaptive Planning & Claude AI (or other AI tools)
