IT Operations Manager

Tate Computer Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Manager to lead and elevate the performance of our Helpdesk, Network Operations Center (NOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), and Project Management teams. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a professional who is technically strong, process-driven, and passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

• Oversee daily IT operations to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Lead and mentor teams across Helpdesk, Desktop Support, NOC/SOC, and Project Management.
• Manage both in-house and outsourced support resources.
• Develop, enhance, and enforce policies, procedures, and KPIs that improve efficiency and performance.
• Monitor operational metrics to ensure service targets are consistently met.
• Maintain current technical knowledge and stay informed on emerging technologies.
• Provide escalation support for complex issues and guide team members toward resolution.

Project Management

• Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects—on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Partner with leadership to define project objectives, requirements, and timelines.
• Communicate proactively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide clear and timely status updates to leadership and customers.

Network & Security Oversight

• Oversee the health, performance, and security of network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
• Ensure network reliability through proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity partners to enforce security protocols and best practices.
• Respond promptly to network incidents and lead effective incident resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.
• 7 years of hands-on technical experience.
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager, IT Manager, Project Manager, or similar leadership role.
• 5–8 years leading IT teams with diverse technical skillsets.
• Preferred experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
